Periodontal regeneration after third molar extraction causing attachment loss in distal and furcation sites of the second molar: a case report with 12 months follow-up

Introduction: The periodontal support apparatus is extremely important due to guarantee insertion the tooth. It helps with maintenance of structural resistance and reconstructive property, its loss may contribute root exposure possibility obtain an augmentation sensitivity. Thereby, this paper aimed describe a case report, using regenerative techniques in bone involving distal furcation regions mandibular second molar, which was associated extraction adjacent impacted third molar without interposing. Case presentation: patient referred private dental clinic reporting unpleasant odor while floss region left during three years. In addition, reported history wisdom tooth six years ago. Periapical examination index were performed extensive radiolucent image regions, 12 mm probing depth at (2nd molar). No other showed greater than 3mm. Thus, after rigorous scaling planing, guided tissue regeneration as attempt fill defect. Conclusion: process predictable way treat vital molar. Clinicians must give special attention molars, mainly when there no interposed between molars.
